Non – game viewing time: 3 – 4 hrs.
As early as 06:30 after breakfast you will descend over 600 meters high walls into the crater floor for a wonderful game drive. Ngorongoro Crater is referred by many as the 8th nature wonder of the world, the crater was formed some 3 million years ago due to some internal forces under the earth crust.
It is a Caldera but mistakenly is called a Crater, supported by yearly round water supply & fodder, Ngorongoro Conservation Area supports a big number of animal species, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, topi, eland, hippos, warthog & giant African elephant.
Another big draw card to this unique Crater is the dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs & the ever- mysterious leopard, which sometimes need sharp eye to spot. You will drive to Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline Lake in the southwestern corner, occasionally visited by flamingos, hippos & many aquatic birds.
Late afternoon drive out and back to Arusha City for overnight or drop off at Kilimanjaro international airport JRO. (Accommodation on this day can be included upon request at extra cost.)
